WHO WE ARE

ALISON SAILSBURY
Counsellor and
Placement Manager
Alison is a qualified Person-Centred counsellor and a registered member with the BACP. She understands the importance of giving the client a voice and a safe space to talk. She has undertaken several additional courses including play therapy, adverse childhood experiences and understanding autism and ADHD.
Alison has worked as a counsellor in a college providing support to teenagers struggling with exam anxiety, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. Her open and friendly approach helps the client to talk about their problems and with support find the answers they are looking for.
Alison is experienced with working with primary school children and uses play to create a safe environment for the children to understand their emotions and behaviour, allowing the child to take the lead in the session.
Alison is the mum to 3 children. Her eldest being on the autism spectrum was the reason she decided to train as a counsellor. She is passionate about supporting parents and children with ASD.
